Over the past month, we have been involved in writing letters, sending emails, and even attending hearings and speaking with our legislators about the Governor's realignment bill. While doing all of these things, we might be asking ourselves how does state government really work, and what happens behind the scenes.
So, we have a treat for you. Representative Eddie Andrews and Representative Heather Matson will be attending our March Des Moines Chapter meeting to answer questions and share their experience. This is a great opportunity to get educated on how our representatives work for Iowans, and what our role is in determining their decisions and how they vote.
We will also be providing dinner that evening. Served will be hotdogs, multiple sides, dessert and drink.
There will be a 50/50 raffle.
There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome! See below for details.

Place: Iowa Department for the Blind, Assembly Room, 524 Fourth St, Des Moines. Please enter on the northside of the building.
