Per the vote of the membership at our June meeting, we will be holding our August 14thmeeting at the Harkin Institute, located at 2800 University in Des Moines, IA. Our monthly meeting will begin as usual at 5:30. We will be touring the facility from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (The calendar says 4 because I mistakenly thought the tour started then, but it starts at 4:30). I encourage all of you who are able to come in person both for the tour and the meeting. This is a chance for us as a community of blind people to collaborate with the larger community of those with disabilities, to learn about the Harkin Center, and perhaps to begin thinking of new ways in which we can work with others to bring about greater accessibility and inclusiveness in our own community.
